Salesforce Expands Presence in India, Launches New Salesforce Tower in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, India — November 6, 2024 — Salesforce, the world’s #1 AI Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, has announced plans to expand its footprint in India with the establishment of a new Salesforce Tower in Bengaluru. This announcement comes as Salesforce celebrates robust growth in the region, reporting a remarkable 36% year-over-year increase in revenue to ₹9116.3 crore for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, according to its latest regulatory filing with India’s Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
India Expansion
The new Salesforce Tower in Bengaluru marks the first of its kind in India and adds to Salesforce’s global network of landmark towers in key locations like San Francisco, New York, Chicago, London, Dublin, Sydney, Tokyo, Atlanta, and Indianapolis. Set to open in Bagmane Tech Park, Mahadevpura, the 12-story tower will showcase an immersive lobby, a Salesforce Innovation Centre, and various workspaces designed for enhanced collaboration, employee wellness, and sustainability. Reflecting Salesforce’s commitment to eco-conscious design, the tower will pursue LEED Gold certification and provide training facilities for in-person AI upskilling for both employees and the broader community. Employee occupancy is slated to begin in 2026.
Fueling Customer Success and Innovation
Salesforce’s expansion into Bengaluru comes at a pivotal time, as the company recently unveiled Agentforce—an innovative AI-driven solution that enables companies to deploy autonomous AI agents capable of performing tasks across business functions. Bengaluru, renowned as a global talent hub, will play a critical role in Salesforce’s ability to innovate and support its worldwide customer base. Leading companies like Air India, Tata Consumer Products Ltd., and others rely on Salesforce’s powerful platform to enhance customer relationships, drive productivity, and foster growth.
Salesforce’s decade-long investment in India continues to bear fruit. Following the establishment of its Hyderabad Centre of Excellence in 2016, which expanded further in 2023, Salesforce has solidified its presence in the country. Today, with over 13,000 employees across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, and Jaipur, India is one of Salesforce’s most significant talent and innovation hubs.
An extensive ecosystem of strategic partners, start-ups, and a robust developer community supports Salesforce’s growth in India. The company boasts over 2 million developers in India alone and has witnessed a surge in users of Trailhead—Salesforce’s free online learning platform, making India the second-largest market for Trailhead users outside of the United States.
